Spacebook,Tweety and the rest

I joined MySpace a few years ago on the recommendation of Folk sing Tom Rush. He was new to the social networking thing and had been turned onto it by his son.A lot of musicians and bands use it these days to promote their music. It's a good way to check out new artists and old favorites.I joine Facebook because Andre Bayne Memorial Library, whare I currently work created a Facebook page and invited staff to join. As a result i found co workers from Bayne plus old chums from my previous employment as a Rehabilitation counselor. My daughter was kind enough to friend me, so even though she and her friends may be up to hi jinks so far its been nothing illegal.Last week I got some friend recommendations from a cousin in England. Suddenly distant cousins are popping up in New Zealand, Australia and England as well as some here in the states I never knew about. I havent tweeted yet and I don't have occasion to text, but I probably will check out Twitter just for the heck of it.Speaking of distant cousins my cousin Nuala and her husband Mike are arriving from Manchester today. We're going to do some fun stuff in the 'burgh then head to OBX NC for a week. I enjoyed the respite from 23 things last week, but ecided to do my assignment for this week while I'm still in town, next week I may try to do my homework from the beach...

23 things n at thing #7 and #8

I downloaded and printed out and reviewed Amy's most helpful Guide to downloading audio and video. I have a copy at work and also near my home computer. So that's item #7.

As for Thing # 8. In the past i was able to download an ebook to my home computer and access it and read it during it's license period. I didnt have any trouble with downloading overdrive soft to my home computer.
I was then able to to download a video about "A Day in the Life of Macy Gray". I burned a copy to a CD using Overdrive/Windows Media Player Version 11. I was able to watch the video in another computer. I'm curious if the license period will render the cd unviewable when the license expires.
I have a feeling I will still be able to watch it. I'd appreciate a opinion from some one who might know. Also if you download a video to an ipod of portable video player will it be rendered unwatchable after the license period or just on the computer you downloaded it to? So Herre's wher I ran into a problem. I was able to access NetLibrary and dowmload an eaudio book in wma format. I did this manually. When I tried to download the NetLibrary media center it froze my home computer. I checked the necessary requirement and my system should be fine.
Eventually I was able to download the NetLibrary Media Center and when I tried to use it from within Net Library I tried to download an e audio book from the collection in mp3 format when I instructed it to download to My computer using that button. The first time the file downloaded as a htm file and showed up as goobledeegook script. The second try when i indicated I wished the file to be download using Netlibrary media center it failed to do so, plus I got a message saying I needed to log into the net media center, but I was already logged into netlibrary. So as of right now, I'm think i may delete the net library media center program and try to re install.
If anyone has encountered problems I'll be checking peoples comment and their blogs. I'm suprised this particular process has given me so much problem.Maybe Amy or Ryan could let me know what I' m doing wrong.
Other than this little hitch I love the concept of being able to download various media including books, music and video. Long Live Free Libraries!!!!!!
